Rank of Poker Hands

To determine if your hand is better, or if you have chances to improve, it is important to know the background to guide poker hands. If you need reference, print this page or add to your favorites.

High Card (High Card)

In one hand without any game made, it is the highest card to determine the winner. In this example, the highest card is the A.

One Pair (Pair)

Two cards of equal value. If two players have a pair, the highest pair wins. If two players have the same pair, the highest card outside the pair - called the kicker - is used to break ties. In the example, "Q" is the kicker of this pair of 7

Two Pairs (Two Pairs)

Two pairs in one hand. If two players have two pairs, with the highest pair wins. For example: KK559 beats QQJJT. In the event of a tie for top pair, we evaluate the second pair. If the tie persists, the fifth card is compared.

(Three of a kind - Trips - Set)

Three cards of equal value. If two players have broken, who have won the largest crack. If the two have the same crack (yes, it is possible in sports such as Texas Hold'em, among others), it is the kicker, or the highest card in addition to crack.

(Straight)

Five cards in sequence of values. If two players have sequences, winner is the highest card. The lowest possible is A2345, and the largest possible is TJQKA. It is not allowed settings like QKA23
